On 21st May 2021, MBf Carpenters Shipping announced a general rate increase (GRI) citing corresponding increase in overall operational cost in a challenging environment since 2020. The rate restoration will be effective for shipments with bills of lading issued on and after 20th June 2021, i.e. a 30 day advance notice from the announcement date.
The quantum of applicable as follows:
USD 525 per 20gp
USD 1,050 per 40hc
USD 28 per rt (breakbulk)
The rate restoration applies to shipment out of North Asia, South East Asia and Indian subcontinent to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.
