Standing in solidarity with the victims devastated by the recent earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria, Infinity, Northport, and Port Klang Authority jointly initiated the “Port Klang Shipping and Logistics Community Humanitarian Aid for Turkiye and Syria”. The donation campaign has successfully raised contributions totaling to RM510,000.00 from Port Klang’s Shipping and Logistics Community.

The Minister of Transport Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Anthony Loke Siew Fook, on behalf of Port Klang Shipping and Logistics Community handed over the contributions to Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA)’s President, Dr. Mohd Daud Bin Sulaiman, witnessed by the Ambassador of Turkiye to Malaysia, His Excellency Emir Salim Yüksel during a simple ceremony held at Northport.

MRA is in charge of identify and source the aid items urgently needed by the victims in both Turkiye and Syria using the contributions raised. While Infinity coordinate and provide the logistics, forwarding and haulage services for the aid items, Northport coordinate with shipping lines for the loading of the containers onto ships to the nearest port of the affected areas in Turkiye and Syria. MRA also work with the logistics counterparts in both countries for the cargo movements.

We together with Port Klang’s Shipping and Logistics Community would like to express our gratitude for the contributions raised and we send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Turkey and Syria, encouraging them to stay resilient.
